Edward W. Buttner se unió a J.S. Held en marzo de 2022, como parte de la adquisición de Ocean Tomo . Edward is a Senior Managing Director at J.S. Held, where he provides forensic accounting analysis to law firms and their clients, primarily within the insurance industry. His work focuses on accounting and financial engagements related to disputes, arbitrations, and investigations. He is actively involved in matters concerning financial reporting and auditor malpractice, financial damages and valuations, insurance insolvencies, and reinsurance disputes.
Before joining J.S. Held, Edward co-founded Buttner Hammock & Company, P.A., an accounting firm based in Jacksonville, Florida. He served as president of the firm since its inception in 1992, overseeing its forensic accounting, litigation support, and audit practice groups.
Edward has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants for over three decades, reflecting his longstanding commitment to professional excellence and ethical standards in the accounting field.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Jacksonville University. Additionally, he completed a fellowship with a specialization in Managerial Accounting through the Life Management Institute.
