George Alexander joined J.S. Held as part of the Werlinger & Associates acquisition in 2019. As Senior Vice President and Regional Lead of J.S. Held’s Equipment Consulting practice, George provides technical consulting services, including equipment damage assessments, feasibility analyses of repair versus replacement, comparable replacement estimates, actual cash value determinations, and production impact resolutions.

Antes de sus 22 años de trabajo en Werlinger & Associates, George ocupó el cargo de supervisor de proyectos/consultor para una firma en restauración para tecnología. En su función, brindó servicios de consultoría y gestionó equipos de restauración, los cuales estaban enfocados en la descontaminación de equipos electrónicos y componentes, maquinaria, plantas de procesamiento, equipos e instalaciones de semiconductores, y equipos industriales/mecánicos.
George aprovecha su tiempo en restauración de equipos para evaluar efectivamente el daño y determinar las acciones apropiadas de recuperación. Through each of his endeavors, George has remained constant in his commitment to professional development and continued learning, which is one of the key things he looks forward to most in his role with J.S. Held.
With nearly 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, George specializes in the technical evaluation of equipment and systems to determine the scope of damage and appropriate corrective actions. He has worked on a variety of large and complex assignments, including assessing the damage to large data centers at the World Trade Center following 9/11, analyzing the impact of Hurricane Katrina on casino gaming systems, and inspecting several thousand pieces of compromised medical equipment resulting from hospital losses.
His experience spans large commercial manufacturing losses in semiconductors, machine and CNC shops, and glass production (eyeglasses, plates, and bottles). He has also handled losses at cement, asphalt, and sand/gravel plants, as well as major distribution centers and hundreds of elevator and escalator cases.

When away from the office, George enjoys spending time with his wife and family events as well as being outdoors at the top of mountains on the ski slopes and under the water scuba diving. He has a passion for theater, travel, and enjoys taking in new sights while photographing his adventures. His most memorable trip to date has been his recent trip to Germany, where he explored his appreciation for historic architecture by visiting over 17 castles and viewing the remains of the Berlin Wall.

George is actively involved in his community, where he volunteers at his local temple to assist those in need. He is also passionate about serving veteran organizations, a cause close to his heart, as his father was a proud veteran. He recently donated his well-loved 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee to a veteran returning from deployment who was in need of a vehicle.
George married in 2019 and had the following to share about his wife, “In this next chapter in my life, I’m truly blessed to have my wife at my side and in my life,” as she is fully supportive of his role at J.S. Held.
