LEER MÁSThe wind project spans 274.9 hectares and consists of 33 wind turbines, each with a diameter of 155 meters and a capacity of 4,500 kW, located in the Province of Valdivia, Los Ríos Region. The EPC contractor signed the BOP contract with Caman for an amount of $60.8M in March 2021, which included the following scope of work: modification of the transport route from the port located in Puerto Montt to the project site; construction of access roads and internal roads (11 km with DTS and 16 km with granular base); construction of foundations and parking areas for cargo vehicles; installation of medium-voltage and fiber-optic networks between turbine groups (IF Groups) extending to the electrical substation; construction of a 33/220 kV electrical substation; installation of a 220 kV transmission line (3 km); and expansion works at the substation.

In our report, we determined that out of the total 353 days of delay in the wind farm project, 294 days were directly attributable to the owner due to the late release of areas for the WTG foundations (excusable and compensable delays). The remaining 59 days were due to concrete curing after the owner released the areas to the EPC contractor (excusable delays).
Additionally, our team quantified the associated damages, categorizing them into 11 concepts claimed by the EPC contractor, with a total value of $50.2M. This amount was presented in the arbitration claim against the owner.
Throughout the execution of our duties, we demonstrated outstanding adaptability to the specific requirements of the project, maintaining consistent and transparent communication with all parties involved.
